Simple Recipe For Appetizers: Mini-empanadas

If you have a gathering soon and you do not know what to make of it, it is a good choice to whip together a tasty party with mini-empanadas for starters!
Simple recipe for appetizers: mini-empanadas

When friends and family gather in the Caribbean and South America, empanadas are usually present as well. After all , they are easy and quick to make, and they are delicious. There are also all sorts of variations, making them easy to customize for your event and taste buds. All that to say that you have no excuse for not giving our mini-empanadas a chance.

They are a little different from traditional empanadas. The size (and thus the cooking time) is shorter since they are appetizers. They go great with garlic sauce, onion sauce or other homemade sauce.

They are usually stuffed with minced beef or chicken, but just like with salads, they are really like a glossy paper. In other words, you can fill them with whatever you want ! In the same way, you can choose between frying them in oil in a pan or baking them in the oven. Either way, they will retain their distinctive, delicious taste.

These appetizers have a high content of calories and protein, but the chef has a lot of leeway. You are the one who can make it healthier if desired; it all depends on the quality of the ingredients and the cooking method.

How to make mini-empanadas as appetizers

Maybe you’re thinking, “ This is going to be too much work just to have some friends over to visit. I’d rather just buy a few bags of potato chips.

Sure, you will save a few minutes that way, but when you consider your health, you may want to think differently.

You are probably aware that potato chips and similar foods are full of processed fats and harmful MSG (monosodium glutamate). MSG is an additive that basically makes you feel more happy when you consume it.

This is another, even more basic, reason to go for homemade mini-empanadas as appetizers.

What is it?

You get to see every single ingredient that goes into them, and you are the one responsible for what you put into your mouth, no one else.

The old saying ” you are what you eat ” is always true. But please forget the all-or-nothing myths about eating animal protein. Remember that it’s about serving sizes and moderation .

Now that you know the pros and cons (so to speak) of this delicious recipe, it’s time to head to the kitchen. Let’s spend a few minutes making an appetizer that will make everyone say “Yum!”

Be aware that these mini-empanadas taste much better with sunflower oil. But if you’d rather bake them in the oven instead of frying them, don’t worry.
